Deciding Whether or Not Pet Microchips are Right for Me

After I brought my new puppy home from the breeders, the first thing that I did was to make an appointment for her to get her shots.  While I was scheduling this appointment, the receptionist mentioned that they were running a special on pet microchips and asked if I would like to have one put in my dog as well.  Since I have lost a pet before and know how heartbreaking it can be, I thought that this was a great idea so I went ahead and gave them the go ahead and they are going to be putting the chip into my dog when she goes in for her appointment later this week.
