Dog Crate Housebreaking

People who have never owned a dog are always surprised when I tell them how effective a dog crate can be. I always tell them don’t let appearance foul you; dog crate training is next to full proof. The size, shape, age or even the type of dog you have doesn’t matter. Find the right dog crate, my favorite is a 48 dog crate with a divider. They’re are usually rectangular with a top, 3 sides and have between 1 and 3 doors. These pet crates as absolutely the best housebreaking crates out there. If you have a puppy, you might think the 48 dog crate is too big, but you’ll eventually need the room if your dog is a large breed. When he’s a puppy all you need to do is put a box in the crate that will limit him to only one side with just enough room for him to turn around. Some 48 dog crate come with a divider that you can eventually remove.
