Your first Guitar Lesson Book doesn’t have to be anything fancy.  in fact it is probably better that it isn’t fancy at all instead just focusing on the basics such as scales and chords.  Scales and chords are probably the most tedious things to learn but without this basic foundation you won’t get very far with your lessons.  Imagine yourself trying to build a house without first pouring the concrete and that is what it is like when you are trying to learn to play the guitar without first getting the basics down.  Do yourself a favor and spend some times on this.
